The Museo de Bellas Artes de Valencia is a major art museum located in the historic center of Valencia, Spain, at 9 San Pío V Street. Housed in the imposing former San Pío V College-Seminary, a building founded in 1683, the museum is the most important art institution in the Valencian Community. It was officially established in 1913, though its origins trace back to 1837.

The museum houses approximately 2,000 works, with a primary focus on art from the 14th to the 17th centuries. It features the most complete collection of Valencian painters, including a dedicated room for the master Joaquín Sorolla. The international collection includes significant pieces by Diego Velázquez, El Greco, Goya, Van Dyck, and Bosch. Notable highlights include Velázquez’s Self-portrait, El Greco’s St. John the Baptist, and Goya’s Playing Children. The museum also displays Gothic altarpieces, Renaissance paintings, sculptures, drawings, and decorative objects, alongside a large series of engravings by Giovan Battista Piranesi.
